This painting has been very difficult to photograph due to its being behind old hand blown glass and because of its large size. Therefore the colour reproduction does not do the vibrancy of the painting justice. If you like this painting I urge you to make an appointment to come and see it. 

Portrait of a Farm Labourer in the field. Circa 1900 by Suffolk born artist Frank Gillett. Signed bottom left. 
Gillett was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk
This large watercolour painting was exhibited at the Royal Society of Watercolour Artists 1911. Label Verso.
It is in a very good quality frame of gilded oak.
