The freedom of line and surety of mark making produces a lively and captivating scene. Half a dozen fishing boats bob happily in the harbour while the houses on the hillside are ably suggested by the deftest of brush strokes. The townsfolk, each suggested by a mere dab of colour, bustle about their evening business.
