Arresting composition featuring red, pink and white blooms (paeonies and foxgloves)in a semi-abstract manner. The impasto brushwork brings vitality to the arrangement. A couple of small blue flowers compliment the Scandinavian blues and earth colours of the background. The painting is signed and dated 1941. Reframed in a hand painted wooden frame.
